Dear friends, we are happy to greet you in the New Year 2013 with two fresh releases of the Petersburg Musical Archive. We continue our Wartime Music series, so important to u and already quite popular. You will hear music of Sergey Prokofiev, Symphonic Suite 1941 and Symphony No. 5, a work of genius (NF/PMA 99108), performed by the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Titov.

The promised Volume 2 of the Collected String Quartets of Vadim Salmanov is going to appear soon. The fourth, fifth,             and sixth quartets of that remarkable Leningrad composer were recorded by the musicians of the legendary Taneyev Quartet                  (NF/PMA 99109).
