The Northern Flowers contribute to the festival dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the battle of Stalingrad.
The Partisan Requiem by Norwegian composer Henning Sommerro will be performed in the Stalingrad Battle panoramic museum, Volgograd, on January 28. The requiem for chamber orchestra, chorus, soloists and narrator was written in memory of the Norwegian guerillas who fought on the Soviet Army’s side in the extreme north of Europe. The opus will be performed by the Volgograd Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonic Choir. Conductor and idea originator: Yuri Serov.
