Concert Choir of the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts
The Concert Choir of the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, winner of national and international competitions, consists of students of the University’s Department of Arts, future choir conductors. In the years of its existence, the ensemble has performed several concerts in St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia, and has toured in Poland, Serbia, Belarus, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Choir’s artistic director since 2011 has been Sergey Yekimov, Associate Professor, academic chorus subdepartment of the University’s Department of Arts, artistic director of the Singing World international festival of choral art, member of the Union of Composers of Russia and Union of Concert Artists of St. Petersburg, artistic director of the Women’s Choir and teacher of the Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music in St. Petersburg.
The ensemble’s choir master is Larissa Yarutskaya, senior teacher of the academic chorus subdepartment of the University’s Department of Arts, winner of international competitions, artistic director of the Perezvony children’s choir of the Glinka Children’s School of Arts.
