First appeared on stage as early as at the age of six, playing piano concerts of Haydn and Mozart with the Rio de Janeiro Symphony Orchestra. The vigorous career of this Brazilian pianist soon proved the most excessive forecasts. The worldwide renown of Eliane Rodrigues shows in a string of awards at prestigious international competitions (such as the Van Cliburn in Texas and the Queen Elizabeth in Brussels), in her performances at the Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, Paris's Pleyel… and in her collaboration with outstanding orchestras and conductors.

Her repertoire is tremendous, including over 50 piano concerts, covering every style and trend from Bach and Mozart to Prokofiev and Villa-Lobos — and chamber music of course. Eliane Rodrigues has recorded dozens of CDs. In 2000–2002 she recorded in St. Petersburg the 5 piano concertos by Serge Prokofiev with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic orchestra. Moreover, she is a productive composer, author of many works for piano.

From August 1998 Rodrigues is the leading artist of Musica Romantica (www.musicaromantica), a festival in Saas-Fee (Switzerland)
